AF Jones Stonemason’s provide a complete service from concept to design, through manufacture and full installation of stone projects with our factory based in Ipsden Oxfordshire, working on projects across the Thames Valley home countries & London. We work with renowned main contractors, architects & interior designers to small private clients covering three distinct specialist sub sectors: Stone Interiors, Architectural Stone & Stone Heritage.

The ideal candidate will have worked in this environment before and be a key member of the Site Team. Should have high literacy skills and enjoy working in a busy environment. Must be able to work in a labour-intensive environment. For the right candidate training to become a stone mason will be provided by the company.
Brief Description of Role:
This position is to support our site masons with fitting our high-quality stone on site. The role will include travelling to sites in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and London.
·Assisting the Lead Mason on site
·Mixing various mortars
·Assisting with lifting & fixing of the stone
·Fitting of brackets
·Finishing & pointing of stone
·Keeping ahead of stock levels and fetching stock if needed
·Being aware of Health & Safety on site
Skills needed for Role:
- A good understanding of Production drawings preferred
- English literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
·Strong interpersonal skills
·Effective time management skills
·Ability to work effectively within a Team
Training Needed for role:
·Site experience essential
·Basic Health & Safety Knowledge
