Xiamen Stone Fair opens online only in June ahead of a planned real world exhibition rescheduled for October.

The World's largest stone fair, held annually in Xiamen, China, has been put back again in response to the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic.

Originally scheduled for March and postponed to June, it has now been put back to 27-30 October.

However, an online version of the exhibition will open in June. The Chinese say this will be an upgraded service and be a warm-up for the October event.

As a virtual platform, Cloud Xiamen Stone Fair aims to provide an online preview of the show, giving exhibitors a chance to showcase their products. It will enable them to engage with buyers and network with industry partners, while enabling visitors to search for products, make appointments and plan a visit to the October exhibition.

The platform is now under development and improvement and will go live on 6 June, which was to have been the opening date of the postponed show.

And the Cloud Xiamen Stone Fair is now intended to be a permanent feature of the Xiamen Stone Fair to better serve the industry, says the organiser.
