Architect and Designer Day at the Natural Stone Show filling up fast

Architects and designers are rapidly reserving places at the special CPD-approved event for them at the Natural Stone Show taking place at ExCeL London 30 April to 2 May – and if the snow hasn’t gone by then, getting to ExCeL will be the least of our problems.

Click here to book a place at the Architects’ and Designers’ Day, with lunch provided at one of ExCeL’s restaurant’s courtesy of stone treatment company Fila. It is FREE for bone fide architects and designers.

The day will be hosted by Vincent Marazita, one of the world’s leading international stone consultants who taught in the Architectural Department at the University of Genoa for six years and is the head course tutor for the international architectural conference, Designing with Stone, held annually in Verona.

Seminars during the day include:

  • International Architecture in Natural Stone: Sourcing, Selection and Testing of Natural Stone for Global Building Products. Vince Marazita, Marazita & Associates, International Stone Consultants, California, USA
  • Specification, Selection and Detailing of Natural Stone; Local and International Case Studies. Peter Harrison, Harrison & Goldman, International Stone Consultants, Surrey, UK
  • Case Study: The Train Drivers Facility Building for Larnrod Eireann (Irish Rail) – the first certified Passivhaus for any rail company in the world. David Hughes, RIAI, RIBA, Irish Rail - Dublin, Ireland
  • Cleaning, Sealing and Maintaining Natural Stone Surfaces. Lisa Breakspear, UK Sales & Technical Director, Fila Industria Chimica, Padova, Italy

Further details including speaker biographies and case study references will be available from March 2013 at www.stoneshow.co.uk.

As if that were not enough, everyone attending the event will be entered into a draw with the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Verona, Italy, as a guest of Veronafiere, including flights, hotel and fine dining. The winner will be announced over lunch at Zero Sette during the day of the workshop.
