Caesarstone introduces Primordia to its award-winning Metropolitan Collection
The latest addition to Caesarstone's Metropolitan Collection of industrial looks is Primordia. Its organic appearance reflects alluvial layers in stone created over aeons, enhanced by its textured finish. It is available in standard slab size in both 20mm and 30mm thicknesses.
Primordia's industrial look is accentuated by its imperfections, a theme common to each of the products in Caesarstone's Metropolitan Collection. The grey of Primortdia echoes the character of concrete, evoking a contemporary feel. Soft mineral marks in off-whites and greys combine with darker veils of grey and brown reminiscent of oxidised metals. This effect is completed by traces of faint yellow and washed green.
Caesarstone Chief Designer, Mor Krisher, says: "With its imperfections, delicate patinas and rough texture, Primordia has a truly unique beauty. The material plays in the boundaries between natural and industrial, where the natural starts to look industrial and when an industrial object ages and starts to look more organic."
Jon Stanley, Vice-President Marketing for Caesarstone UK, says: "There's always a tremendous level of excitement around a new Caesarstone product launch and Primordia illustrates why. Brought to life by our outstanding inhouse R&D and manufacturing team, it applies Caesarstone's strengths in trend research, design innovation and manufacturing prowess to powerful effect. Absolutely on trend and totally unique, Primordia takes surfaces to the next level."
Primordia was developed in collaboration with some of the world's foremost style forecasters, not least among them fashion trend guru Li Edelkoort, who helped Caesarstone in the production of its 2019 trend book of Form Follows Food (click here for more about Form Follows Food and Li Edelkoort).
