Media 10, the creative force behind industry-leading events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and Design London, has officially acquired The Stone Show & Hard Surfaces from The QMJ Group. The May 2025 edition - co-located with UK Construction Week London - will mark the final event delivered by QMJ, paving the way for an exciting new chapter.
Starting in 2026, the event will be relaunched under a new identity: Stone & Surfaces. This reimagined, rebranded, and significantly expanded show will shift from its previous biennial schedule to become an annual fixture on the global design calendar. Its scope will broaden to include not only natural stone and hard surfaces but also flooring, wall coverings, and an even wider range of materials and surface innovations - better reflecting the evolving needs of architects, interior designers, and specifiers.
Stone & Surfaces will be a truly international showcase, with confirmed participation from major design and manufacturing hubs including Italy, Iran, India, Turkey, China, Portugal, and Egypt - highlighting both traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge innovation.
New features for the relaunched event will include:
- Live demonstrations of stonemasonry, artisanal techniques, and advanced machinery
- A brand-new, CPD-accredited education programme, offering free training sessions for interior designers and architects
- Enhanced interactive zones to engage and inspire attendees with real-world applications and insights
- Backed by Media 10’s track record of delivering world-class design events, Stone & Surfaces will benefit from strategic synergies with Clerkenwell Design Week and Design London - bringing a fresh lens to design trends and creating stronger relevance across both commercial and residential sectors.
“We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Richard Bradbury and The QMJ Group for their dedication and vision in building the show into the respected platform it is today. We’re excited to take this respected event in a bold new direction,” said Sam Patel, Director of Global Markets at Media 10. “Stone & Surfaces will build on its rich heritage while embracing new materials, new ideas, and a broader global audience. It’s a natural next step for Media 10 - and for the industry.”
Richard Bradbury, QMJ Managing Director, commented, ‘Media 10 have cultivated invaluable face-to-face access to the UK’s architecture & designer community through market-leading events that include Clerkenwell Design Week, UK Construction Week, and Design London. I’m delighted that Stone Show visitors and exhibitors will directly benefit from this going forwards, both through richer content and enhanced networking opportunities.
