Edge Tools & Equipment Ltd, a specialist supplier of diamond blades based in Derby, has a new stone division with Glyn Knighton as its Sales Manager.
Glyn is well known in the stone industry from the years he spent as an integral part of the Pisani sales team in Matlock, Derbyshire. So when Ian Clarke, the Managing Director of Edge Tools & Equipment, wanted to expand his already extensive product range for the construction industry to encompass the stone sector, Glyn was an easy choice of recruit to develop a range of products for the sector.
Glyn has just finished compiling catalogues of the products that Edge will be selling to stone companies – and it is not just diamond tools for cutting, grinding and polishing – there is also the Stone Care Europe range of chemical treatments, General’s polyester resins, and power tools from Metabo, Flex, Gison and Marmoelettromeccanica.
Top of the diamond blade range are Matrix bridge saw blades, which have the diamonds arranged in a 3D pattern throughout the segments, which means the segments cut quickly, last a long time and have a consistent performance throughout their life. Just added and completely new to the UK is a 26mm high segment, which means the blade will last even longer.
The Matrix blades are part of a complete range of diamond cutting discs available in three bonds from Edge for processing the hardest granites, engineered quartz and softer marbles and stone.
There is also a wide selection of quality grinding tools, wet and dry polishing discs and drill bits. And Edge are offering a
re-tipping service.
The Stone Care Europe range of treatments covers all stone applications, with both solvent- and water-based products for sealing, cleaning, enhancing, maintaining and reviving any kind of stone.
New in the range is Platinum solvent-based neutral finish anti-stain humidity treatment, suitable for polished and honed stone, both natural and artificial.
The power tool range is headlined by the extensive Metabo range of professional electric (including cordless) and pneumatic wet and dry grinders and polishers, backed up by the Flex range and with Gison lightweight pneumatic wet polishers as an alternative.
Edge are also selling Marmoelettromeccanica’s full range of CNC routers, Super High Speed core drills and profile wheels.
