National Masonry pledges 5% of profit to Macmillan cancer care nurses

Machinery supply company National Masonry, based in Bishop Auckland, continues to support the star MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) fighter and biology graduate Duncan McLean. Duncan is now 3rd in the UK in his class (Cruiser Weight) and on course for a catchweight contest with Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher for a British Association of Mixed Marshall Arts world title.

However, Andy Bell of National Masonry says he is also looking to make a difference in the community in new ways and has pledged 5% of his company's profit in November to Macmillan Nurses, who care for cancer patients.

Andy: “I work hard and see the monetary rewards, but I feel we should do more to support people who work hard to help others with no great monetary rewards for themselves.

“John of EB Granite down the road in Peterlee has been fundraising for years for the local Macmillan Nurses, so this year in November National Masonry will donate 5% of its profit to the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service at Peterlee.”
