Mark Cole, The Nicholls & Clarke sponsored racing driver in the 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup GB, took another podium in the penultimate round on the Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch on Saturday (10 October). Mark then finished fifth in the final round on Sunday (11 October) as he contested the highly competitive Pro-Am1 category in the striking cyan blue livery of the N&C Porsche 911 GT3.

Mark’s programme is backed by the Nicholls & Clarke Group as part of the company’s celebration of 140 years in business. Mark is racing with the standard-setting Parr Motorsport team.

Mark is from Highclere in Berkshire. He qualified fifth in Pro-Am1 on Saturday then battled through to earn a place on the podium in the first race. Unfortunately, in the second race he was forced wide on to the grass on the opening lap and that cost him the chance of another podium finish.

“I got run off on to the grass at Druids on the opening lap,” said Mark. “Otherwise I would have been on for another podium finish. Our lap times were good in race two once past the traffic.”

Mark missed third place in the final championship by just two points.
