Porcelain collections join natural stone as Stone Age relaunches third showroom
Stone specialist Stone Age, which relaunched its showroom at its Parsons Green, Hertfordshire, headquarters this summer as well as refurbishing its showrooms in London and Bristol, has this year added a range of fully vitrified, highly durable porcelain suitable for interior, exterior and bespoke use. You can view the collection on the Stone Age website or at the showrooms.
The new porcelains offer a range of textures and finishes to suit classic and contemporary projects.
Darren Hopkins, Stone Age Showroom Manager, says: “This new collection is proving very popular and offers customers greater choice on projects. Porcelain is a cost effective alternative to natural stone that doesn’t compromise on quality. With internal and external tiles available in a range of textures and colours, designers can achieve a seamless flow across floor areas from inside to out.”
The new collection offers a variety of styles including rustic options with a textured finish, giving an aged quality in a range of colours. The collection includes crisp whites to more natural taupe shades, all available in an internal or external finish.
For a natural stone look there is a selection of tiles that emulate the surface of stone with all its textures, irregularities and variations in colour. These internal-use tiles are available in ivory, silver and shades of grey.
For a crisp contemporary look, solid colour marble effect tiles are available in large format and a wide range of colours. These tiles are well suited to contemporary projects that require uniformity but still offer a subtle nod to natural stone.
Veined marble effect porcelain tiles have been created to imitate the most luxurious marbles with veining across the tiles.
Most of the tiles are available in sizes from 30x60cm to 90x90cm. The marble effect range is also available in 120x120cm slabs. Prices start from £55/m2 (excluding VAT and delivery).
