A £45million commercial property development in Birmingham city centre is to be clad in Welsh//Slate.
The 14-storey second phase of the Snowhill scheme with 30,000m² of office space and 900m² of shops, will be clad in more than 1,700m² of dark blue grey riven stone slate from Welsh//Slate’s Cwt-y-Bugail quarry in North Wales.
The stone is being supplied by Chesterfield stone specialists Realstone as part of the company’s Genesis Rainscreen System to be installed by Walsall-based Simco.
Using the Genesis system means the project will be completed in just five months.
