The report in the previous issue of NSS on the re-opening of Park Lane Bath Stone quarry by Ham & Doulting Stone should have said the stone over the Bath Stone is Forest Marble, not Forest Pennant. Forest Pennant is a trade name used by Forest of Dean Stone Firms. Forest Pennant is from the Carboniferous (350million years ago), so does not appear above Jurassic stone (150million years ago). Forest Marble is a Jurassic limestone.
