Spain's major international ceramic and bathroom exhibition, Cevisama, has been cancelled. The organisers say the war in Ukraine has seen huge rises in gas prices (and ceramics manufacturers use a lot of gas) and the disruption to supplies of clay used in the manufacture of ceramics, most of which came from Ukraine. Some manufacturers have suspended production and many companies that had intended to exhibit at Cevisama had pulled out, leaving the organisers no option but to cancel the show.

The next Cevisama is scheduled to take place in its usual spot at the beginning of next year, running from 27 February to 3 March 2023. It is being supported by the Spanish government and the organisers are confident it will go ahead.
