Richard has been building dry stone walls and laying hedges for several years and believes in continuing the traditional look and feel of the countryside as well as enhancing the environment.
Richards work covers landscaping gardens, building dry stone and mortaredf walls of all sizes, installing benches, steps, gates and fencing and laying hedges. He has worked in gardens, small holdings, farms, building sites, National Trust park and film set. The galleries show samples of the work he has undertaken.
Richard is a professional member of the Dry Stone Wallers Association (Derbyshire branch) and on the contractors list. He is based in Wirksworth, Derbyshire and mostly works in the Dales and Peak District National Park but has worked in Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire.
Richard is certified as DSWA Level 2 for walling and Lantra 2 for hedge laying and also holds a current chainsaw certificate, CSCS card and trained in using a brushcutter. He has recently also given introductory courses in hedge laying with the National Trust volunteer groups and walling with private groups.
