Accurite Industries in Cumbria have taken over the UK sales, service and distribution of Sasso Meccanica edge polishing machines from Nicolai UK.

Phillip Haith, the owner of Nicolai UK, successfully launched Sasso into the UK market. Six machines have been installed so far with enquiries and interest growing every month.

Sasso will benefit from Accurite\'s service & spares back-up as well as Accurite\'s substantial customer base.

Accurite will stock Sasso machines in their Ulverston factory along with the ranges from their existing dealerships, which include Denver, Pedrini, Tecnombm and Seelbach.

Phillip will remain in an independent sales and support role for Accurite concentrating mainly in the South of the UK.

Mark Brownlee, managing director of Accurite, is delighted with the move. "Everybody in the Stone Industry has been aware of the progression of the Sasso range of edge-polishers, which are now accepted as one of the leading manufacturers in this field.

"Hopefully with our existing structure, and particularly our after-sales team, this can be achieved. The early signs of two confirmed sales since the end of the Verona Fair at the start of October back-up our positive feeling."
