Paul Harvey has been appointed sales director of Alfred McAlpine Slate, the producers of Welsh slate.

At 45, Harvey has worked in the natural slate business for 24 years, incluidng the past six years with Alfred McAlpine, starting as regional sales manager.

In his new role, Harvey will be responsible for the development of sales of the company\'s roofing slate portfolio, which includes imports as well as Welsh slate, and the Welsh Slate architectural product range.

He will be based at the company\'s showroom in the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.
