Ancon win literature award as they launch new tension bar system

Fixing firm Ancon Building Products have won a Construction Marketing Award award for their technical literature.

The award for Best Technical Literature was presented by Michael Ankers, chairman of the judging panel and chief executive of the Construction products Association, at a ceremony hosted by TV presenter Paul Ross.

Michael Ankers said of Ancon\'s literature: "Ancon demonstarted they had clear objectives and produced literature that stands out as original and innovative. This new literature clarly provides the reader with a most informative picture of potential applications, coupled with a high level of technical detail and accuracy."

The new, high performance tension bar system looks similar to the original Ancon system launched in 2002, but has a 50% increase in capacity and is available in sizes from 8mm to 42mm in both carbon steel and stainless steel and with a variety of finishes to meet both corrosion resistance requirements and architects\' aesthetic whims.

The system can be used to create a variety of assemblies, from simple tie bars to complex bracing systems involving several bars joined at one point.
