Ashby move into bigger premises
Ashby Stone Masonry have moved from Grays, Essex, to bigger premises just 30 minutes from central London in Northfleet, Kent.
The new premises comprise design offices, a dedicated marble and granite factory and a separate limestone factory predominantly for processing Portland and Bath limestones.
New CNC profiling and cutting equipment has been installed together with polishing and turning machinery. This has increased Ashby\'s capacity and the range of products they can produce, including the production of kitchen and vanity tops.
It is not just a question of machinery, though. Their banker masons give the company the ability to offer intricate hand worked stone.
Ashby carry out design, supply and fix contracts and also supply the trade. Portland, Bath and York stones are all held in stock along with various other limestones, marbles and granites.
Work carried out by Ashby lately notably includes Portland cladding of 41-43 Mincing Lane and The Connection, Holborn. Internal contracts have been carried out at Canary Wharf and Bush House and restoration work has been carried out in conjunction with new works at the Bank of England.
