Machinery suppliers Z Bavelloni have sent a letter to their customers reminding them of the importance of using the safety devices on machines.

James King, branch manager of Z Bavelloni UK Ltd based in Rugby (Tel: 01788 551154), says in the letter: "It has come to our attention that some Bavelloni machines are being operated without the safety light beams connected. Operator safety is of paramount importance to Bavelloni and therefore it is essential that all light guards, fixed guards and other safety devices are connected and working."

He told NSS: "Bavelloni do take safety extremely seriously. It is important that the safety devices on our machines are working and with this in mind we have sent out this letter to all our CNC customers. Obviously this safety advice applies to all machines, not just Bavelloni\'s."
