Stone wholesalers Brachot-Hermant, whose UK depot is in Birmingham, will be showing their new Letano finish at Marmomacc, the Italian stone exhibition being staged in Verona 5-8 October.

They say the finish gives granite the feel of luxury leather. The light brushing used to produce the finish also accentuates the natural colour of the stone. Brachot anticipate the finish appealing to designers for a wide range of uses in interiors, rustic or modern. They say it makes ideal floors, worktops, wall linings and bath surrounds. And for those who worry that any finish apart from polished is more susceptible to staining, Brachot have sealed the surface to make it both resilient to staining and easy to maintain.

Brachot have their own production plant in India, as well as Belgium, and have just opened a purchasing office in China, which, they say, enables them to offer both competitive prices and top quality material.
