The two-yearly Extractive Industry Geology (EIG) conference covering quarrying and opencast mining, is this year not only moving to Scotland for the first time, it is also including sessions on building stone for geologists involved in the extraction of dimension stone. The conference is at Edinburgh University\'s Pollock Halls on Thursday and Friday 15 and 16 June and includes overnight accommodation at the university.
