Burlington bathe in glory
Nine of the 19 townhouses at the St James Homes development in Wycombe Square, Kensington, include indoor swimming pools for which Burlington\'s Elterwater stone helps provide the ultimate in urban luxury.
Approximately 77m2 of Burlington\'s distinctive pale green Elterwater stone in a honed finish has been used to line the bottom of each of the 8x4m pools, while the same material in a non-slip flamed finish graces the pools\' outer edges.
In addition to providing a distinctive border around the pool itself, the stone edging provides the perfect complement to the surrounding leisure area.
Commenting on Burlington\'s inclusion in this flagship development, joint managing director Malcolm Hatch said: "We fully endorse the philosophy of St James Homes that it is true craftsmanship and quality materials that add enormous lasting value, substance and style to a home. Burlington\'s stone has long been recognised as a product with outstanding technical and aesthetic properties and it has frequently been associated with projects of this nature."
The townhouses are set around three sides of a spacious garden square and their sumptuous interiors provide up to 800m2 of living space. The swimming pools are on the lower ground floors adjoining a glass-walled leisure area with a wet bar hidden behind folding doors.
The swimming pool rooms have adjoining gymnasium/exercise rooms and washing and changing facilities.
