Charcon complete first sandstone project
Charcon have completed their first sandstone hard landscaping project since launching their range of Indian sandstone last year (see NSS November issue).
More than 320m2 of what they call Autumn sandstone has been laid as riven paving and setts at Alcester Heritage Centre in Warwickshire as part of the Stratford on Avon District Council\'s scheme to rejuvenate and enhance this community building.
Countrywide Surveyors, who specified the stone, said they had been looking at using a man-made product when they discovered they could have natural stone at the same cost. "It quickly became the ideal choice for the Heritage Centre, they said.
Charcon have recently changed their company logo, doing away with the elephant and replacing it with the triangle of their parent company, Aggregate Industries.
