Clean Sweep
A key requirement of hard landscaping around Birmingham Cathedral and into a pedestrianisation area was that it would be capable of withstanding the repeated action of mechanical cleaners. That was no problem for the 600mm wide York stone slabs specified by the council\'s Landscape Practice Group in conjunction with architects Michael Reardon & Associates of Alcester. And it should be no problem for the mortar with Easipoint in York stone colour having been chosen, following the successful performance of a sample panel. The Easipoint has been injected deep into the 8-10mm joints between the stones. Contractors on the project were Kennedy Asphalt of Tyldesley, Manchester.
