CWO/Albion competition introduces young architects to stone
Natural stone specialists Cathedral Works Organisation (CWO) are teaming up with the City of London and Portland limestone producers Albion Stone to give aspiring architects an opportunity to design a sculptured stone bench which will be carved by CWO\'s apprentice stone masons. Architectural students registered on a full-time course are being invited to design a three dimensional stone form that has the principal function of providing seating. The winning design will be carved in Portland stone and sited in a prominent landscape space in the City of London. It will be unveiled by the Lord Mayor in December.
