Callum Smith is a dedicated stonemasonry student - and he has an award to prove it.

The award comes at the completion of his second year of the NVQ Level 3 course in stonemasonry.

Mike Moody, Past President of Stone Federation Great Britain and Vice Chair of National Heritage Training Group, presented the award.

Callum afterwards thanked his college tutors for their continuing support in encouraging him to achieve the highest standards of work in stonemasonry.

His employers and mentors at Mather & Ellis said they were proud that Callum had put so much dedication into achieving his current level of study and upholding the highest standards of stonemasonry.

They said they would continue to encourage him to develop his skills to become another of their master stonemasons.
