Fila’s Salvaterrazza, developed as paving protection, is now being recommended for sealing stone in showers.

The Italian makers say it is ideal for natural stone, protecting both the tiles themselves and the grout against stains as well as reviving the natural surface tone.

The non film-forming solution offers high coverage and allows materials to breathe. It can be applied straight from the can, giving complete surface protection in 24 hours.

The water repellent formulation of Salvaterrazza penetrates cracks up to 1mm deep, protecting against seepage, water pooling, mould, efflorescence formation and surface breakdown.

Before application – both indoors and out – Fila recommend applying a degreasing agent (they suggest Fila PS/87).

Once the surface is dry, Salvaterrazza can be applied with a brush or roller, excess product being removed after a few minutes with a cloth or paper towel.

On particularly absorbent sandstones and limestones, a second coat is recommended.
