Italian manufacturers GMM have launched their latest versions of the popular Brio saw.
The saw is the ideal machine for the more modest workshop. It is easy to use, compact and efficient. It can be manually operated or can automatically perform parallel, perpendicular and diagonal cuts, arcs and circumferences (cut from CAD, profiles and templates) using the orientation of the head and the interpolation of the axes to produce fast operation on ballscrews and linear guides, all driven by brushless motors.
The CNC monobloc version (the Top) does not require foundations and has a tilting table included.
The Easy version is designed to be mounted on walls, depending on customer requirements.
The main structures of the machine – the head-holder bridge, lateral shoulders (and CNC slab holder table) – are all electrowelded steel structures with hot dipped zinc plating and stabilized to guarantee perfect dimensional stability and long life.
The blade-holder head is in electrowelded steel with vertical motion (Z axis) on linear guides and ballscrew.
The blade cover casing is in stainless steel with a plastic cover and the guides have dust protection bellows.
The superficial protection cycle of the machine consists of sandblasting and hot zinc plating of surfaces to guarantee perfect long-lasting corrosion resistance.
Moving axes are powered by brushless motors with an encoder that stores the positions of each axis even if there is a power failure, so does not require resetting at each machine start.
Options available include:
- Inverter motors for smooth, power-saving operation
- Cuts from CAD/DXF
- Profiling and shaping
- Optical templates detector
- Parametric figures
- GMM Touch drawing program.
