Prodim, represented by Waters Group in the UK, is best known in the stone industry for the Proliner 7CS digital templater, but it also makes a range of digital 2D and 3D measuring devices and software for production automation (plotter, cutters, CAD and CAM) and 3D printers.
The Proliner can be used to measure everything in a house – countertops, backsplashes, stairs, bathrooms, floors, facades, swimming pools… you name it. Simple and complex measurements can be performed quickly, easily and accurately on-site, with the Prodim software package simplifying the production process for stone fabrication from top to bottom.
Prodim has several Proliners, which are divided into the CS series (for construction) and the IS series (for industry). The 7CS that the stone industry favours is the lightest and most compact of the Proliners, making it easy to use on-site. It is also easy to operate with its 10in touch screen, on which measurements can be checked, edited and finished.
Whether the shapes are simple or complex, the Proliner captures all dimensions. Simply define the shape by marking several points with the Proliner ‘pen’ and shortly your measurement will be ready as a DXF CAD file that can be transferred to your CNC machine to cut, or used to print plots or to use as a base for a design.
The Proliner’s unique tracking technology means you do not need targets, which can introduce inaccuracies. And the Proliner ‘pen’ means there are no issues with light and reflections, which can speed up the time it takes to produce a finished template.
You will be able to see the Proliner at Marmomacc, where the company will demonstrate the templater and its specific software for stairs (Prodim Stairs) and the host software (Prodim Host Office).
