Swedish company ScandInvent has sold the first of its large format machines in the UK, an SX5 five axes CNC saw going to Shawstone in Fareham, Hampshire, and a CX4 four axes CNC workcentre is being installed at Algarve Granite in Northampton at the beginning of October.
The product range from ScandInvent gives the full spectrum of stoneworking capability, with the C3 and C4 compact workcentres, the Edgetech 3500 edge profiling and polishing machine, the CX4 full-size workcentre, and the SX5 saw for full slab cutting or profiling. The SX5 can process digital templates directly as well as having semi-automatic operation.
You will be able to see the machines in Verona, where there will also be news of software developments that give C3s an additional 150 operations, C4s 100 extra operations, allow single-click import of digital templates on the SX5 and add functionality on the CX4. The CX4 also has new control gear allowing greater flexibility and ease of use that will be on show.
And you will have the chance to see the upgraded Scandsoft Business Software that has been given added functionality and reporting capabilities.
