Italians Q-Bo, who say they have developed the machinery necessary to sandblast and finish stone with a variety of new patterns (see NSS November issue) have added Moda to their expanding ranges.
Like the first range, called Rugiada, the new Moda pattern that is intended to resemble laces and fishnets, is applied on Carrara marble, Ardesia Ligure slate and Crema Luna limestone. As well as the basic pattern, it is also offered with flowers (pictured right).
Q-bo are new to the stone industry, developing their technique for stone decoration and finishing that has led to the launch of their own ranges from a base of gritblasting low relief patterns on to glass, wood, ceramics and occasionally stone for customers.
The Moda design features a regular net pattern, to which the flowers can be added, designed to look as if they are climbing up the net. A further embellishment is an optional ‘strass powder’ coated glitter finish. Prices start at Euro38.80 for a 250x500mm tile.
The marble and limestone tiles have a polished finish while the slate has a ‘natural’ finish.
