SKEMA PLUS – THE NEW FOUR-AXES CNC MONOBLOCK BRIDGE SAW
SKEMA PLUS is a new four-axes CNC monoblock bridge-saw from Denver, with a new software system allowing for the downloading of files not only from digital templating devices but also the automatic cutting of traditional hard structured templates.
Sole UK distributor Accurite Industries believes that such a user friendly software system will enable the majority of its customers to enter the CNC sawing market in a way never before seen.
Mark Brownlee from Accurite explains: "Most of our customers want to carry on producing templates in the traditional way, and with this new software introduced on our machines, it is not only possible to digitize the templates on the saw bed in a matter of minutes, the machine will then cut automatically without operator assistance, allowing the operator to carry out other work.
"This has a tremendous labour saving impact for the customer, and in the future if the customer wants to move on to digital templating, the software also allows this facility.”
Accurite is so confident that the new Skema Plus will be a winner it has immediately ordered two, to arrive at the start of March, to use as demonstration models in its factory, to show potential customers how easy it is to use. A bulk order for another 12 units, to be delivered throughout the year, has also been placed, showing the confidence Accurite has in this machine.
Mark feels that once the customer sees the ease with which such automation can be used, the machine will sell itself. He says it is vital customers are given an environment where they can 'play' with the machine in the comfort of a showroom, rather than looking over the shoulder of an operator in another customer's factory.
Machine Description :
The machine is a modern monoblock bridge saw with tilting head and hot zinc coated frame for an exceptionally long lasting sturdiness and accuracy. It features 4 interpolated axes travelling on steel guideways with revolving balls and steel slides with revolving rollers protected by bellows and lubricated by a centralized system. The 0°-90° tilting head with adjustable 45°reference stop along with the 0°-180° rotation ensure a highly productive and versatile machine with the highest degree of comfort for the operator.
In the standard configuration the machine is able to carry out:
- Straight cuts for shop fitting and stairways.
- Tilted cuts up to 90°for kitchen tops and many other furniture components.
- Oval and round cuts
- Multiple and complex cuts
- 3D shaping using the sawblade for mouldings and profiles
The machine is equipped with a user friendly software interface performing smart and intuitive programming by icons and with software library with available bi-dimensional artifacts and frames.
Main features include:
- Open-ended library for ready-to-use parametric images
- Dxf/dwg files import gateway
- Slab’s shape defining with laser device
- Processing management directly on the interface
- Change processing order
- Piece positioning on slab in many different ways
- Program: Single, multiple, cross and molded manual cuts
- Vertical cuts
- Tilted cuts
- Inner and outer curved cuts with a flat edge (where possible)
- Automatic collision check and avoidance not to damage other pieces
- Automatic detection of feed rate and cut depth according to the type of material
- Shaping with vertical disc. Linear roughing and finishing cycle and transversal finishing cycle
- 3D processing simulation
