Hanson Bath & Portland are hosting a Health & Safety Executive SHAD (Safety & Health Awareness Day) at their works in Avon Mill Lane, Keynsham, on 24 March.Masons in the area are invited.

SHADs have been established in co-operation with Stone Federation Great Britain. They provide straight forward, practical information about what masonry companies should be doing on the issues of dust, vibration and materials handling. There are no recriminations, just advice and information about why action is needed.

Those who have been on the two so far held in London have reported how useful they have been.
