Chelsea Flower Show is fertile ground for growing the stone market

Natural stone has become a big feature of the Chelsea Flower Show these days and it is helping to increase the popularity of the natural material in the domestic garden market.

Among the stone at this year’s exhibition were the ‘soft’ furnishings of Michael Scheuermann, who first produced his sofas and chairs for the Rugby Writers project featured in NSS in January last year. There is also Cornish DeLank granite in the Homebase Cornish Memories Garden, designed by Tom Hoblyn and built by award winning garden and landscape designers Bowles & Wyer. Hoblyn’s creation had a granite edged swimming pool linked by a granite rill that channeled water to a pavilion with a shallow pool.
