The number of exhibitors and visitors at Stone+tec in Nuremberg continued their decline at this year’s show, held earlier this month. Both fell about 16%. Nevertheless, with 34,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors the show is a long way from the 7,000 visitors and 98 exhibitors at the first show in 1979.
Machinery company Kolb reported 300 enquiries, which was far above their expectations. Many were from German companies and a domestic domination was clear at the show.
There was one British exhibitor, Laser Products Europe, selling their American laser templater. Carl Sharkey, Managing Director, said: “We sold two units at the show and have an additional eight countries covered as a result of the exhibition.”
