There is less than a month to go until the 2018 Natural Stone Awards Ceremony at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London - so book your seat at the presentation lunch now.
The standard of entries in the Awards this year has been exceptionally impressive, so the winners can be justifiably proud of their achievement and the Awards ceremony will showcase the very best the natural stone industry has to offer.
The idea of the Awards is to motivate everyone – architects and designers, engineers, contractors, developers, and the industry itself – to aspire to and achieve ever greater accomplishments. And it would seem to be working, if this year’s entries are anything to go by.
There are just the last few seats left at the Awards ceremony lunch for you to use to take advantage of this first-class opportunity to promote stone and network with the industry and its customers.
This year the guest presenter is Loyd Grossman CBE FSA, champion of architecture and conservation as the Chairman of The Heritage Alliance (of which Stone Federation is a member), Vice President of the Churches Conservation Trust and Chairman of The Royal Parks, as well as a well-known personality through TV programmes such as ‘Through the Keyhole’ and ‘MasterChef’. He even gives his name to a range of prepared foods and some readers might remember him as a Punk Rock guitarist, especially as he resumed his guitar playing at Glastonbury in 2015 with a band he called Loyd Grossman and the New Forbidden (a reference to the 1970s band he was part of called Jet Bronx and the Forbidden). With a background like that you can be sure his talk at the Awards ceremony will be lively and entertaining.
He will be on stage with, as ever, Jim Rosenthal, the event compere. And behind the scenes announcing the winners will be Alan Dedicoat, the voice of the National Lottery and Strictly Come Dancing (and now the Natural Stone Awards).
The Awards are being presented on Friday 7 December at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London. Seats at the Awards lunch cost £120 + VAT each. To check on what seats remain, email matt@stonefed.org.uk.
