Eric Bignell, the editor of Natural Stone Specialist, officially cut the ribbon to mark the expansion of Farmington Natural Stone\'s quarry at Northleach, Gloucestershire. Bignell said: It is good to see a quarry like this being extended because it shows that the demand for natural stone remains strong - both as a walling material and as an interior decoration like the beautiful fireplaces carved from Farmington stone. As if to emphasise the point, Farmington enjoyed a record-breaking October, producing more than 4,000 cubic metres of stone plus 4,000 square metres of chopped building stone.
