Forecasts: Recovery predicted
The past 12 months have been difficult for the construction industry with output estimated to have fallen by more than 1%, ending 11 years of uninterrupted growth. However, the Construction Products Association is forecasting a gradual recovery during 2006 as long as the fall in Government spending is reversed. Good news for the stone industry is that office development, already improving, is predicted to continue to grow for the next three years.
