Simon Linford has taken over from his uncle, David Linford, as executive chairman of the Linford Group in Lichfield. He is the fourth generation of the Linford family to take his place at the helm of the business. David Linford retains a strong involvement as a director of the business, especially concentrating on the restoration market. Simon says: "This is an exciting role, and one to which I am very consciously bringing something slightly wider in terms of corporate experience, commercial presence and perhaps an additional style of leadership and management. "I see my appointment as the second part of a story that started with the appointment of Robert Pearson as managing director six months ago."
