Geological Society launches enquiry service
The Geological Society receives a steady stream of enquiries, attesting to the spontaneous curiosity felt for Earth science by members of the public. Now the Society has launched a service called ‘Ask a Geologist’ to answer those questions that nobody seems able to tackle.
Members of Society will attempt to answer any question about the Earth, the planets, geological time, fossils or any subject related to geology. They concede they might not know the answer right away, but promise to try to find someone who does from among their 10,000-strong Fellowship.
Questions can be sent by email to askageologist@geolsoc.org.uk or you can visit the website www.geolsoc.org.uk/askageologist to see some of the questions so far received.
