Grein Tec launch Granite Glass

Austrian company Grein Tec has introduced a new product called Granite Glass that has ultra thin stone - between 0.3mm and 1mm thick - on glass.

Stone that is so thin is translucent, which Grein Tec believe will prove to be an attractive option for architects, for interiors and exteriors. Inside it can be used as back-lit work surfaces, floors and wall linings. Outside it can be used as cladding or walling in the same way as glass. It can also be used in windows. It is available both as glass over stone and stone sandwiched between two pieces of glass. Practically any stone could be used.

The Granite Glass laminate is stuck together with Polyvinyl Butyral Foil (PVB), which will not discolour or degenerate in UV light. The stone is then polished down to the thickness required.

Grein Tec are looking for distributors in the UK. For more information Tel: 0039 0456 208 340.
