Crown Oil UK have launched a diesel fuel they say has 100% carbon offset. Available to construction, utility, plant and rail industries, the standard red-diesel carbon offset against carbon reduction projects worldwide, such as green energy production from landfill gas and reforestation.

Crown Oil UK Managing Director Matthew Greensmith says: “Nine months ago we decided to carbon-offset the transportation of our commercial diesel. This proved extremely popular, especially with clients in construction, where the pressure to reduce the carbon impact of their operations is intense. The new ‘green’ diesel takes this a step further so that those companies engaged in carbon accounting can use Crown Oil UK’s diesel to contribute to their carbon reduction commitment.”

Crown Oil are also taking further steps to reduce their carbon footprint by upgrading their tanker fleet to more efficient vehicles and taking active energy saving steps in the workplace with low energy bulbs, better controls and a comprehensive recycling programme for waste material.
