Bennie Historic Conservation, established for Peter Bennie Ltd of Northamptonshire by Fred Markland, previously with E Bowman & Sons of Stamford, have recruited contract manager Iain Milne, also from Bowman.

Fred Markland says: "Bennie Historic Conservation is now steadily taking off and we are thrilled that Iain Milne will be joining us. He started his career as a stonemason some 16 years ago and has been linked with Bowman\'s for almost all that time, with the last four years dedicated to contract management of predominantly historic buildings and church projects with a strong emphasis on stonework.

"Iain will be joining us as conservation contracts manager, although the role will be varied and he will be involved with the development of this exiting new venture as much as anything, using his well honed skills and honest commitment to masonry and historic works with many existing contacts throughout the trade."
