Joined up thinking from the SSLG

The Scottish Stone Liaison Group is holding a conference entitled Joined Up Thinking in Stirling Council Civic Chambers, Viewforth, Stirling, between 10.30am and 4.30pm on 4 November.

The topics covered include Scotland\'s built heritage as a tourist attraction, repair and maintenance of buildings, damage arising from the use of inappropriate materials in repairs and life cycle costings and sustainability. The SSLG will also be reporting on The Glasgow Project that has involved identifying the historic buildings of Glagow, their condition, and the materials and skills needed to repair and maintain them.

The conference is intended to attract local authorities, tourist bodies, conservation professionals and anyone involved with the historic built environment.
