John Richardson and Gordon Spivey, who were directors of wholesalers R Lidster before administrators were appointed on 12 February, have purchased assets of the company and are now trading as Lidsters of Worksop Ltd from the same site.

John Richardson admitted last year that Lidster were having a difficult time but thought the worst was over. In August they closed down Medusa in Wimborne, Dorset, that Lidster bought in 2000. The assets there have subsequently been bought back by original owner Chris Emery, who is now trading there as Phoenix Marble & Granite.
