Another regular stone contributor to Chelsea is Burlington, the Cumbrian quarry company that has made a big push into hard landscaping over several years.
This year Burlington Stone helped Stoke-on-Trent City Council claim the Silver-Gilt Flora medal by providing its stone to the pool area of the garden.
As part of the Council’s ‘Positively Stoke-on-Trent’ garden, 60m2 of Burlington Stone’s Westmorland Green paving was chosen by London-based Bartholomew Landscaping to help convey the city’s image as a dynamic and creative place of opportunity.
Burlington Stone’s commercial director, Nick Williams, was delighted to have been involved. “It’s great to know that the designers had the trust in our natural stone for their garden. We really feel that our beautiful British Westmorland Green paving was the perfect choice for Stoke-on-Trent and Bartholomew Landscaping to represent the city’s growth.”
