At the beginning of this year, CR Laurence, the exclusive distributor of Caesarstone quartz in the UK, opened a depot in Dublin. And Ireland has surpassed all predictions, significantly exceeding every sales target.
CR Laurence had supplied Caesarstone to Ireland from its UK depot in the past, which gave it confidence that the market could sustain a depot there.
But it had practically zero share of the market before the depot opened, so it was difficult to predict how popular the brand would be and perhaps the targets were a little cautious.
They need not have been. Caesarstone has been enthusiastically received both north and south of the border. And having a depot on the ground means orders are promptly supplied.
KBB retailers throughout the island of Ireland are supported by a dedicated sales merchandiser in Colleen Burns.
David Beckett, Caesarstone Sales Director, says: “Based on past orders we were confident that the market for Caesarstone surfaces would be strong in Ireland when we opened the facility in January, but the reality has far surpassed our expectations.
“It is very positive news for the Caesarstone brand but also for the Irish market as a whole, with the signs of a full and steady economic recovery all there.
“Our Dublin depot enables us to keep good stock of our full range of Caesarstone products in order to offer a fast turnaround on local orders. We are confident that the brand will continue to penetrate the Irish market going forward.”
Jemma in the North West
Jemma Aspinall has been appointed Sales Merchandiser for Caesarstone in the North West of England. This is Jemma’s first role in the KBB sector and she says she is looking forward to visiting worktop manufacturers to see how quartz work surfaces are made and exploring the relationship between Caesarstone, fabricators and studios.
“I'm also looking forward to building good professional relationships with clients, keeping the studios up to date with samples and all relevant information including new colours/designs, managing the brand in store and through point of sale.”
