CED Stone Group in Grays, Essex, has taken on the exclusive UK distribution of stones branded under the name of Alcantara, which is a company based in Spain.

The brand includes four granites, two limestones and Alcantara Black and Black Exclusive, which are hornfels.

CED Stone Group is selling the stone variously for interior and exterior use.

There are Alcantara Gray or White limestones, Alcantara Atlantic, Coral, Iridium or Red granites, and the Blacks.

They are available in various finishes, including polished, honed, matt, flamed, brushed and engraved.

The stones can be produced to order for projects.

The limestones are best used in interiors while the granites and hornfels can be used for exterior cladding and paving as well as for interiors.

Alcantara Black has been used in more than 80 Metro de Madrid train stations in Spain.
