This month (March) sees the launch in the UK of the Silestone Eternal Collection that was previewed in January at KBIS, the American kitchen show in Orlando, and Living Kitchen in Cologne, Germany.
Silestone Eternal pays homage, as the company describes it, to the most sought-after, exotic marbles, combining their aesthetics with the functionality of quartz.
It is also the first collection to be manufactured using what Silestone calls its
N-Boost technology. This is a new process to give greater intensity of colour and surface brightness to the material, as well as making cleaning and maintenance easier by making the surface water repellent.
This is how Silestone describes the products in the Eternal range:
- Eternal Calacatta Gold. A white background through which wide grey highlights are interspersed with golden glints. The distinguished appearance of Eternal Calacatta Gold pays homage to a marble (Calacatta) that has been held in high esteem since ancient times.
- Eternal Statuario. Inspired by the classic Italian Carrara marble, Eternal Statuario has a white surface with soft grey highlights. The sense of depth in background is one of the features of this material.
- Charcoal Soapstone. This is inspired by soap stone. It has a blue-grey background with grey highlights. Silestone says it is characterised by its ‘rotundity, depth and sense of movement’.
- Pearl Jasmine. This is not currently available in the range being sold in the UK but it might be added later. It is inspired by White Macaubas marble. Again, it is a marbled finish on a white ground. The interwoven grey waves and highlights are designed to represent a style of natural, timeless exquisiteness.
- Eternal Serena. A finish of grey stone with fine, gentle, white lines through it. Silestone says the subtlety and softness of nature define this proposal.
- Eternal Marquina. Evoking the beautiful, Spanish black Marquina, this creation presents an intense black background with contrasting and convincing, intense white veining and highlights.
