David Richardson, until now the Director of the Sustainabile Products Group at BRE in Watford, has joined the rapidly expanding FMDC group in London EC1.

FMDC (Facades & Materials Design Consultants) specialises in the design and engineering of building façades and material consultancy. It was started two years ago with five people and today has more than 20 consultants based in London and Glasgow.

Along with David, a former President of Stone Federation Great Britain and still Chairman of the Federation's Technical and Sustainability Committees, FMDC's specialists in stone include Bruno Miglio and Darren Anderson.

David has worked in Construction for 25 years and was with the international Atkins design, engineering and project management consultancy before joining BRE in 1998.
