De Ferranti take over Paris Ceramics

Luxury wall and floor specialists De Ferranti have taken over Paris Ceramics, where Director Alvaro de Ferranti worked before setting up on his own. Paris Ceramics were part of Smallbone Plc, who have also sold Smallbone of Devizes and Mark Wilkinson Furniture.
Alvaro says: “The products and services offered by Paris Ceramics perfectly complement those offered at De Ferranti, allowing us to add a wider range of traditional, rustic stone and terracotta flooring, both antique and modern, to our exclusive and customised surfaces.”
Since their inception in 1982, Paris Ceramics have pioneered the reclamation of both antique stone and terracotta, as well as developing sources of newly quarried stone.
Richard Robson, General Manager of Paris Ceramics, will continue to run the King’s Road showroom for De Ferranti. He says: “We will continue to supply our products and services to our international clientele.”
But De Ferranti say they will bring a new dynamism to the Paris Ceramics product portfolio. “Of course I’ll be refining the collection,” says Alvaro, “but without taking away those very classic qualities of product that designers loved from the heyday of Paris Ceramics.”
He says, interior designers, architects and private customers will now be able to choose from the De Ferranti and Paris Ceramics ranges from outlet in the King’s Road.
